The Client Compliance Analyst role is a permanent, full-time position. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end onboarding of new client relationships across the Group. Job Duties:
- Serve as a subject matter expert, assisting with all aspects of the onboarding process, including tailoring risk-based Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and managing risks associated with prospective clients' nature, scale, complexity, and geographical location.
- Attend calls and meetings to provide guidance on onboarding and support a smooth client experience.
- Demonstrate an excellent understanding of relevant primary and secondary legislation and guidance.
- Stay updated on regulatory and legislative changes by conducting horizon scanning to identify emerging compliance issues, providing recommendations, and updating policies and procedures as needed.
- Lead the onboarding of new client relationships, including completing the Group’s Customer Risk Assessment (CRAM) to determine the client risk profile.
- Analyse and document complex structures, ensuring that risks are evidenced and that proportionate CDD is applied.
- Conduct sanctions, adverse media, and open-source screening.
- Complete Politically Exposed Persons and Introducer Risk Assessments.
- Ensure that all client communication during the onboarding journey remains client-centric and that their engagement is smooth.
- Proactively manage the Client Compliance workflow, keeping clients and Risk & Compliance colleagues informed of onboarding status.
- Prepare performance and management information, plan for resource pinch points, and handle new business opportunities.
- Assist in evolving and implementing the client compliance framework, including policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Document the client compliance process to ensure succession planning and consistent cross-skilling.
- Provide coaching, training, and upskilling to colleagues and new recruits, ensuring accurate cross-skilling for leave cover.
- Work to tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy.
- Collaborate with team members to foster a robust risk and compliance culture.
- Assist with projects and tasks to ensure the successful delivery of the team’s objectives.
Job Requirements:
- Qualification in Risk Management, Compliance, Governance, or a related field, or willingness to work towards one.
- Extensive experience in client onboarding and customer due diligence with a strong performance record.
- Knowledge of corporate and trust structures and associated onboarding and CDD measures is highly desirable.
- Experience in reviewing identification documents and managing CRAMs.
- Ability to analyse, evaluate, and mitigate financial crime risks associated with onboarding.
- Collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and general IT systems.
