Temporary Financial Accountant (PT 15 hours/week - 3 months)

Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team on a temporary basis for an initial period of 3 months. This part-time role, requiring approximately 15 hours per week, involves handling high-level accounting tasks such as cash flow management, forecasting, budgeting, and preparing financial statements. You will be stepping in to replace the outgoing Financial Accountant, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity of financial operations. Job Duties:

• Manage cash flow, ensuring optimal liquidity for the organisation’s operations.
• Prepare accurate financial forecasts and budgets to guide strategic decision-making.
• Compile and analyse financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Oversee and review the financial reporting process, providing insights to senior management.
• Collaborate with the existing Bookkeeper to ensure a seamless division of responsibilities.
• Ensure all financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and company policies.
• Assist in any ad-hoc financial projects or tasks as required during the temporary period.

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Financial Accountant, ideally in a similar temporary or part-time capacity.
• Strong expertise in cash flow management, financial forecasting, budgeting, and financial statement preparation.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced skills in MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with management and the existing Bookkeeper.
