Bookkeeper

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join the Client Accounting Team based in Guernsey. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, and maintaining high levels of confidentiality. Job Duties: 

  • Perform bookkeeping services for a variety of client accounts
  • Post transactional information to the accounting system
  • Maintain up-to-date records in the accounting system
  • Investigate and resolve transactional queries
  • Complete regular reconciliations of financial data
  • Create and maintain databases and files for financial information
  • Handle postings related to investment portfolios, private equity transactions, property portfolios, VAT, group accounting, and cash
  • Undertake other tasks as assigned by the Manager

 

Job Requirements: 

  • Previous experience in financial services is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines
  • Ability to meet and define key performance indicators
