Group Managed Business Specialist

Our client is seeking a Group Managed Business Specialist who thrives in a deadline-driven, high-volume, process-oriented environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely booking and cash settlement of securities, OTC, FX, and money market transactions. This role is based in Jersey and will give you exposure to multiple facets of banking operations, including interactions with counterparties and agents, and reconciliation of cash accounts. Job Duties:

  • Action the accurate and timely booking and cash settlement of securities, OTC, FX, and money market transactions.
  • Pre-agree settlement of lifecycle events on the managed products.
  • Interact with counterparties and agents to confirm transactions.
  • Oversee intra-day and end-of-day control reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution.
  • Manage the reconciliation of cash accounts and trade confirmations versus counterparties.
  • Detect and escalate risks in business operations, and identify process improvements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement efficiency and control measures.
  • Collate and report Management Information Statistics and outstanding risk metrics to multiple risk departments and senior management.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Operational Treasury or Settlements processing environment.
  • Ability to process high volumes of work with precision and attention to detail.
  • Competency to identify and anticipate risks and issues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take ownership of issues and resolve them.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, both verbally and in report format.
  • Aptitude for working in a team to meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of operational risk and capacity to escalate issues in line with procedures.
  • Collaborative mindset, working across teams to achieve shared outcomes.
