Our client is seeking an Assistant Administrator to join their Compliance department on a full-time basis. This role involves providing crucial support to the compliance team, including the Head of Compliance, in fulfilling regulatory and legal obligations. Job Duties:
- Review and analyse client files to ensure AML, CDD, KYC, and EDD compliance, liaising with relevant departments as necessary.
- Input approved CDD and related materials into digital systems like Viewpoint and maintain physical filing systems, updating records as per internal policies.
- Conduct client due diligence research using publicly available sources, including World Check.
- Create and maintain accurate, up-to-date records relating to compliance matters, particularly within Viewpoint.
- Deliver a portfolio of compliance checks and tasks as outlined in the Compliance Monitoring Programme.
- Prepare compliance assurance monitoring reports and track the resolution of any findings.
- Support the Head of Compliance with IOMFSA returns, policy development, and information recording in Viewpoint.
- Perform tasks delegated by the Head of Compliance as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date records on digital and physical systems, ensuring logical organisation and easy accessibility for independent review.
- Liaise with internal departments as required to fulfil role responsibilities.
- Adhere to internal policies, including those related to confidentiality, data protection, and IT security.
- Complete training and competency tests (e.g., CPD) in line with regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., International Compliance Association) is advantageous, or willingness to pursue one.
- At least 1 year of experience in the financial services industry, ideally within the TCSP sector.
- Experience in compliance assurance monitoring activities and task completion.
- Knowledge of Viewpoint or a commitment to gaining expertise in this area.
- Ability to provide effective AML, KYC, CDD, and ECDD guidance to colleagues, or willingness to develop this skill.
- Strong report writing and procedure drafting skills.
