Our client is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join their small Human Resources team, supporting employees across the UK, Isle of Man, and Channel Islands. This role focuses on delivering high-level guidance and support to senior management, ensuring Human Resources operations are aligned with the company’s objectives and legislative requirements across multiple jurisdictions. As a trusted advisor, the Human Resources Business Partner will drive organisational effectiveness, enhance employee engagement, and ensure consistency in Human Resources practices Human Resources throughout the business.
Job Duties:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on Human Resources-related issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
- Collaborate with senior management to provide Human Resources expertise that fosters organisational effectiveness and employee engagement
- Oversee core Human Resources functions such as employee relations, absence management, performance management, recruitment, and employee engagement
- Implement and continuously improve Human Resources systems and processes to support company goals
- Assist in implementing the people plan to attract, develop, reward, and retain talent across the company
- Facilitate the performance management process and deliver training for managers on effective feedback techniques
- Develop recruitment strategies and talent acquisition initiatives tailored to market dynamics, working closely with managers in each region
- Ensure compliance with employment regulations, including data protection, the Equality Act, and health and safety legislation
- Manage professional onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions for employees
- Support the execution of the Human Resources strategy by identifying Human Resources trends, addressing key issues, and effectively allocating resources
- Administer employee programs and benefits to promote satisfaction and retention
- Regularly coach, mentor, and support colleagues, fostering development and relationship-building across the organisation
- Promote diversity, equality, and inclusion within the workplace, advocating for a positive and inclusive culture
- Provide monthly Management Information (MI) updates to keep regional leads informed on People KPIs
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar Human Resources role, ideally with multi-jurisdictional expertise
- Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) certification or equivalent (essential)
- Proven understanding of employment regulations across multiple jurisdictions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage and improve Human Resources operations to support strategic goals
- Competency in managing sensitive employee relations and advising senior management on Human Resources matters
