Financial Reporting Accountant

Our client is seeking a meticulous and driven Financial Reporting Accountant to join their dynamic team. This full-time role follows a recent restructuring within the finance department, presenting an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to grow alongside the company as it continues to expand. The role will involve the preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts, statutory reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting critical finance functions to ensure transparency and accuracy in financial records. Job Duties: 

• Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts and report to internal and external stakeholders
• Oversee statutory reporting requirements
• Ensure accurate, timely maintenance of core accounting records
• Monitor and report financial covenants to external finance providers
• Prepare and submit VAT returns
• Prepare and submit Isle of Man and UK Corporate Tax returns, ensuring compliance with current tax legislation
• Support and develop a strong financial control environment
• Liaise with external auditors
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and provide training and mentoring to junior team members

Job Requirements: 

• ACA or ACCA qualified with 1-2 years of post-qualification experience
• Experience in a financial reporting role is desirable
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Adaptable to a dynamic environment with varied daily tasks
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, particularly under pressure
• Ambition to contribute actively within the team to drive success
• Diligent, with a focus on timely and accurate outputs
• Strong commercial acumen and a proactive approach to continual improvement
