Senior Compliance Officer, Compliance Monitoring and Risk Management

Our client is seeking a proactive Senior Compliance Officer to lead its AML/CFT-focused Compliance Monitoring Programme and oversee risk management activities within a multi-category regulated Trust and Corporate Service Provider  and funds business. This full-time role involves developing and implementing compliance monitoring, conducting regulatory horizon scanning, and contributing specialist insights to the Risk Committee. You will also assist with report preparation, attend committee meetings, and potentially act as committee secretary, depending on your experience. Job Duties: 

  • Developing and leading the AML/CFT-focused Compliance Monitoring Programme, ensuring alignment with Isle of Man standards.
  • Conducting regulatory horizon scanning to anticipate and address changes in AML/CFT requirements.
  • Supporting business risk management efforts and maintaining an up-to-date Risk Register.
  • Providing expert compliance input to the Risk Committee, including assistance with report preparation and regular attendance.
  • Acting as committee secretary, if required, to ensure effective communication and documentation.
  • Embedding AML/CFT requirements into compliance documentation and business practices.
  • Offering insights into the impact of regulatory changes on business operations.
  • Supporting corporate compliance initiatives and fostering proactive compliance engagement with directors and stakeholders.
  • Delivering or supporting the delivery of AML/CFT and risk management training to promote compliance awareness.


Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Professional diploma in compliance or risk management certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years in compliance or risk management, with experience in AML/CFT monitoring and the ability to deputise for senior roles.
  • Strong awareness of Isle of Man regulatory requirements, including regulatory horizon scanning and risk management frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, report-writing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused attitude with the ability to contribute effectively to the Risk Committee.
