Professional Support Lawyer

Our client is seeking a Professional Support Lawyer to enhance their knowledge management initiatives and ensure fee earners have access to high-quality legal resources and training. The successful candidate will focus on producing and managing precedents, coordinating professional development activities, and staying up-to-date with legal and regulatory developments. Job Duties: 

  • Coordinate and draft internal and external practice notes, client briefings, and regulatory updates in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Review and standardise transaction processes, including process mapping for core business services.
  • Stay informed about changes in legal and regulatory developments and update documents accordingly.
  • Maintain a system for capturing and managing knowledge content from client transactions.
  • Manage and update a comprehensive precedent bank, ensuring documents meet client needs.
  • Prepare and deliver training sessions on knowledge management practices for all levels of fee earners.
  • Organise discussion forums, seminars, and training events to facilitate knowledge sharing and learning.
  • Assess the utilisation of knowledge management resources and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Collaborate with IT and Service Line Partners to optimise technology tools for knowledge management.


Job Requirements:
 

  • Qualified English Solicitor, Barrister, or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE.
  • Experience in private practice.
  • Strong communication skills to train staff and gather critical information.
  • Excellent drafting skills and attention to technical detail.
  • Enthusiasm for knowledge management and systems improvement.
  • Ability to support fee earners with access to relevant resources.
  • Knowledge or experience in implementing knowledge management systems is advantageous.
