Our client is seeking an experienced Regional Finance Lead to be based in the Isle of Man. This pivotal role oversees the Global Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) for the organisation and manages local and regional finance teams. The position involves full financial management and accounting oversight for applicable regional entities, including vessel accounting. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in commodity trading and a deep understanding of relevant accounting, compliance, and data analytics technologies.
Job Duties:
- Lead global FP&A, including the annual budget and reforecasting processes.
- Develop business performance analytics, leveraging automation and advanced technology tools.
- Manage regional financial and accounting processes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, SOX, and statutory reporting.
- Oversee balance sheet control, financial performance reviews, and financial support schedules.
- Handle accounting for owned, leased, and chartered vessels, along with freight accounting.
- Manage treasury operations, including liquidity, cash efficiency, and currency hedge execution.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors and manage ad hoc financial projects.
Job Requirements:
- A recognised accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, ACA, CPA) with over 10 years of practical experience.
- Expertise in soft commodity trading and accounting for physical supply contracts, derivatives trading, and currency exposure.
- Experience with industrial commodity milling and crushing operations.
- Proficiency in technology, including MS365, Power BI, and AI/ML tools.
- Strong team leadership, people management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under strict deadlines and manage competing priorities.
