Our client is seeking three Risk and Control Officers to join their Client Services team. The role focuses on supporting strategic objectives with a specific emphasis on risk management, controls, and routine regulatory reporting. This position bridges operational teams with Group Risk and Compliance, ensuring a balanced approach to risk and growth while adhering to regulatory requirements.
Job Duties:
- Support the Senior Manager in embedding the Client Services Quality Assurance Framework.
- Collaborate with second and third-line functions to meet regulatory requirements effectively.
- Analyse and evaluate risk events, conduct root cause analysis, and propose mitigating solutions.
- Conduct regular control testing in line with the Quality Assurance framework.
- Promote open communication channels for reporting and addressing risks at the operational level.
- Assist operational teams to maintain updated Risk Event Actions with sufficient evidence for efficient closure.
- Identify issues, risks, and benefits of solutions, outlining their business impacts.
- Develop and execute plans aligned with departmental and organisational goals.
- Conduct Quality Assurance activities and provide feedback to users on failures or opportunities for improvement.
- Track and follow up on action items and deadlines to ensure efficient delivery.
Job Requirements:
- At least two years of experience in an operational processing team.
- Proven experience working in a Risk team or function with a solid understanding of the regulatory framework.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and Excel.
- Dynamic thinker with the ability to create innovative solutions.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for diverse audiences.
- Ability to build positive working relationships and champion change.
- Technical knowledge of the life assurance industry (desirable).
- Experience in a similar management role (desirable).
- Ability to manage and resolve conflicts effectively (desirable).
- Proactive in managing workload and performance in a fast-paced environment (desirable).
