Trainee Business Support Analyst

Our client is seeking a motivated Trainee Business Support Analyst to join their Business Support Team (BST). This team provides vital administrative support related to compliance, onboarding, and monitoring for licensed investment and fiduciary business services. The successful candidate will assist with onboarding new clients, maintaining regulatory registers, and supporting the Compliance team with regulatory returns and related tasks. This role is ideal for an A-level school leaver, graduate, or someone with 1–2 years’ finance experience looking for a new direction. 

 

Job Duties:

  • Assist with onboarding and take-on processes for new clients and entities in fund and fiduciary/trust areas, including collation and review of Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and preparation of initial Relationship Risk Assessments (RRAs).
  • Set up and maintain trackers to monitor onboarding progress during fund closes.
  • Address CDD deficiency tasks in the database from Take-On and RRA reviews.
  • Prepare and update periodic reviews and RRAs, and maintain trackers to monitor completion progress.
  • Manage client data on various systems and maintain accurate records.
  • Respond to ad-hoc client requests and assist with project work as needed.
  • Perform tasks in line with policies, procedures, and controls, and propose workflow enhancements to improve service delivery.
  • Contribute to a positive compliance culture by completing training promptly and assisting other teams as necessary.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Willingness to learn and flexibility to handle a range of compliance, governance, and onboarding tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in IT and the ability to adapt quickly to new systems.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and capable of meeting deadlines.
  • Pragmatic problem-solving skills with high levels of accuracy.
  • A-level school leaver, graduate, or individual with 1–2 years’ finance sector experience seeking a new direction.
  • Either studying towards or willing to commence a recognised professional qualification such as ICA or CGI (ICSA).
