Our client is seeking a motivated Trainee Fund Accountant to join their Fund Accounting team in September. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and reporting for a portfolio of active venture capital funds. The successful candidate will assist in producing accurate, well-presented client deliverables within agreed deadlines and in compliance with fund policies and procedures. This position is ideal for individuals with A-level qualifications or university education looking to build a career in fund accounting within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Job Duties:
- Undertake relevant training to gain an understanding of different clients and fund structures.
- Perform bookkeeping, accounting, and reporting for a tailored portfolio of venture capital funds.
- Support Fund Accountants and Senior Fund Accountants with more complex client portfolios when needed.
- Assist in producing quarterly management accounts and annual audited accounts in line with IFRS and FRS102 standards.
- Respond to audit requests in a timely manner and provide information to tax advisors for relevant tax reporting.
- Monitor client mailboxes to ensure timely responses to client queries and handle ad hoc client requests.
- Collaborate with the Fund Administration team to ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping of transactions across fund entities.
- Attend professional qualification courses and undertake exams to complete relevant certifications.
