Trainee Trust Administrator

Our client is seeking a Trainee Trust Administrator to assist in managing a portfolio of private client trusts and companies under the supervision of the Associate Director. This full-time role offers an opportunity to develop expertise in trust administration while contributing to excellent client service and organisational efficiency. 

 

Job Duties:

  • Deliver outstanding client service and maintain high standards of delivery.
  • Process payments and assist with bookkeeping tasks.
  • Support the preparation of trust and company accounts.
  • Scan and collate documents required for new investments and accounts with service providers.
  • Communicate effectively with intermediaries via email, letters, and telephone.
  • Assist in preparing reports for clients.
  • Ensure timesheets are completed daily.
  • Meet chargeability, WIP, recoverability, and debtor targets within deadlines.
  • Apply internal risk management procedures effectively.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and service providers.
  • Understand client schedules and anticipate their needs.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact at all levels.
  • Organisational skills with a focus on accuracy and timely task completion.
  • Proficient administrative and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a variety of work and handle multiple clients.
  • Flexibility to work under time pressures and respond calmly to changing demands.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Confidence to ask questions and raise issues appropriately.
  • Curiosity to understand trust structures, transactions, and operations.
  • Awareness of decision-making limits and risk management practices.
  • A collaborative and proactive team player.
