Our client is seeking a Senior Associate to join their growing Consulting team in Guernsey. This role involves supporting the Director in developing a regulatory and compliance consulting business. The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues across consulting, legal, and governance practice areas to deliver a range of client mandates. This position offers a dynamic and challenging work environment, with opportunities to engage in high-quality client service, business development, and technical advisory activities.
Job Duties:
- Support the Director in building a profitable regulatory and compliance consulting business.
- Assist in the development of products and services aligned with the organisation’s vision and strategy.
- Deliver client mandates collaboratively, ensuring high standards and adherence to deadlines.
- Monitor regulatory changes and industry standards to provide relevant services.
- Provide technical advice on products and services to clients.
- Attend key client meetings with senior stakeholders and develop deliverables such as reports and working papers.
- Monitor mandate risks, budgets, and profitability, identifying additional revenue opportunities.
- Manage client expectations and foster relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Assist in preparing for and attending business development meetings, supporting the management of the opportunities pipeline.
- Develop client proposals and ensure consultancy services align with the organisation’s broader approach.
- Collaborate with business services teams to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, systems, and controls.
Job Requirements:
- Preferably educated to degree level and professionally qualified.
- At least three years of relevant experience.
- Solid knowledge of the Guernsey regulatory regime is essential; familiarity with other jurisdictions is desirable.
- Strong client focus with a proven ability to build and maintain effective client relationships.
- High level of intellectual rigour and commitment to maintaining technical expertise.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with experience facilitating workshops.
- Demonstrable project and people management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team-oriented approach.
