Our client is seeking an Assistant Manager to join their Fund Services team in Jersey. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of clients, providing accounting services and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing financial statements, reports, and valuations while working closely with colleagues and external stakeholders. Job Duties:
- Maintain accurate accounting records within client entity databases, including Viewpoint, Investran, and Yardi.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and bi-annual reports, as well as periodic capital account statements and net asset valuations.
- Assist in reviewing management reports and financial statements prepared by junior team members.
- Ensure a strong understanding of client transactions and liaise regularly with line managers.
- Work with colleagues to manage client expectations and accounting deadlines effectively.
- Collaborate with client administration teams, offering accounting support and advice.
- Maintain consistency in service levels across all clients and promptly address any queries.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, auditors, and third-party service providers.
- Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures in line with professional and regulatory standards.
Job Requirements:
- ACCA or ACA qualification with strong technical accounting knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Previous experience with accounting systems, particularly Yardi and Investran, is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with a keen eye for data analysis and problem-solving.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Professional, proactive, and service-oriented approach with sound judgment and discretion.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
