Our client is seeking a Trainee Fund Accountant to join their fund accounting team. This full-time role involves bookkeeping, accounting, and reporting for a portfolio of venture capital funds. You will assist in preparing accurate client deliverables within agreed deadlines while working towards a professional qualification.
Job Duties:
- Complete relevant training to gain an understanding of different clients and fund structures.
- Undertake bookkeeping, accounting, and reporting for a tailored portfolio of venture capital funds.
- Support Fund Accountants and Senior Fund Accountants with more complex portfolios when necessary.
- Assist in producing quarterly management accounts and annual audited accounts in accordance with IFRS and FRS 102.
- Respond to audit requests in a timely manner.
- Provide relevant information to tax advisors for tax reporting preparation.
- Respond to client queries and monitor client mailboxes to ensure timely responses.
- Work closely with the fund administration team to ensure accurate bookkeeping and transaction recording.
- Attend professional qualification courses and undertake exams to complete a relevant qualification.
Job Requirements:
- A self-starter with the ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills to develop strong working relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
- Strong computer literacy and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of the financial services industry.
