Compliance Administrator / Compliance Analyst

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Compliance Administrator / Compliance Analyst to support their compliance team. Based in Guernsey, this role involves ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, assisting with compliance monitoring, sanctions screening, and customer due diligence (CDD) processes. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise within a well-regulated financial environment.

Job Duties:

  • Inspect new sanctions against the client database.
  • Monitor sanction screening and adverse media screening platforms daily against client lists, performing ad hoc checks as required.
  • Assist with compliance monitoring programme testing.
  • Review new Customer Due Diligence (CDD) files and update/maintain existing CDD records.
  • Maintain and organise client files.
  • Maintain key regulatory registers, including Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), Powers of Attorney, Gifts, Conflicts, and Complaints.
  • Assist with Beneficial Ownership submissions.
  • Attend regular board and ad hoc meetings.
  • Undertake ad hoc compliance tasks and projects to support the Compliance Officer and MLCO.
  • Address regulatory and compliance queries to assist legal teams in fulfilling their obligations.
  • Prepare for and assist with CDD reviews.
  • Complete client risk assessments and investigate new business enquiries.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in the compliance sector, with expertise in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CTF) or other compliance-related roles.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Guernsey regulatory regime.
  • Experience dealing with the Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC).
  • A relevant compliance qualification or a willingness to work towards one.
  • A proactive approach to staying updated on regulatory requirements, including participation in seminars and in-house training.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
