Our client is seeking an Audit Manager to join their Jersey office on a full-time basis. This role is responsible for the delivery and oversight of a portfolio of audit clients, primarily based in the Channel Islands. You will lead audits from planning through to completion, manage audit teams, liaise directly with clients, and collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless service across the firm.
Job Duties:
- Manage a portfolio of audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Supervise and develop the firm’s audit team alongside the existing management team
- Liaise with clients and their employees on audit-related matters
- Ensure timely completion of audits in line with statutory deadlines
- Manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously
- Oversee client onboarding and complete AML/CFT/CPF acceptance procedures and annual reviews
- Schedule and coordinate day-to-day activities of the audit team
- Provide technical advice to clients on UK GAAP, IFRS, and group consolidations
- Assist directors in the daily management of the firm
- Contribute to ad hoc projects such as valuations and financial due diligence
Job Requirements:
- Professionally qualified with a relevant audit/accounting designation
- Strong technical knowledge of audit and accounting standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Recent experience in an audit-focused role
