Business Risk Services Senior

Our client is seeking a Business Risk Services Senior to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role focuses on identifying, assessing, and mitigating business risks while delivering assurance and advisory services. You will support clients in evaluating their control environments, harnessing data analytics, and addressing technology-related risks such as cybersecurity, emerging technologies, and digital resilience.

Job Duties:

  • Review client business processes, identifying key risks and evaluating the design and effectiveness of mitigating controls
  • Advise clients on improvements to their control environments and risk management strategies
  • Analyse technology-related risks including cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and IT resilience
  • Utilise data analytics to quantify risks and support assurance teams in audit delivery
  • Manage and administer a portfolio of assignments from client onboarding to completion within agreed timelines and budgets
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring excellent service and identifying opportunities for growth
  • Apply professional standards and firm procedures, delivering high-quality outputs
  • Supervise junior team members on engagements, providing coaching and conducting performance evaluations
  • Monitor own work in progress and contribute to departmental billing
  • Represent the firm positively and build networks to support business development
  • Maintain professional qualifications and ensure compliance with CPD requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Relevant accounting or audit qualification
  • At least 2 years’ post-qualification experience in assurance, internal audit or risk and controls advisory
  • Strong understanding of business risk and control assessment
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft 365 and general PC applications
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work to professional and ethical standards
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Proactive, flexible and confident working independently or as part of a team
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to liaise at all levels
  • Commitment to delivering high standards of client service
