Our client is seeking a Compliance Analyst to provide support to the senior members of the Compliance team in monitoring adherence to legislative and regulatory requirements. This role is essential in ensuring that the business operates within the relevant regulations and internal Policies, Procedures, and Controls. The successful candidate will engage with various stakeholders and contribute to fostering a strong compliance culture. The role promotes the opportunity for personal and professional growth within a supportive environment. The position requires collaboration with the Country Compliance Officer, Money Laundering Compliance Officer, and other senior compliance individuals. Our client values thoroughness and attention to detail and is looking for someone who can efficiently manage multiple tasks. This is a full-time position.
Job Duties:
- Assist with queries from senior members of the Compliance team.
- Monitor adherence to relevant regulations and internal policies.
- Conduct validation testing based on agreed parameters and engage with business partners on identified concerns.
- Notify management of any issues arising with recommendations for change.
- Assist in the research, drafting, and refining of compliance monitoring test criteria.
- Promote a positive compliance culture throughout the organisation.
- Provide support to compliance officers and the risk team as required.
- Prepare documentation related to queries from law enforcement and regulatory agencies.
- Produce timely reports for Committees and Boards periodically.
- Monitor relevant websites and disseminate information to stakeholders.
- Address compliance and risk management queries and concerns from internal and external clients.
- Assist in delivering staff training on compliance topics.
- Identify data quality issues and recommend solutions.
- Review sanctions and enforcement alerts and escalate appropriately.
- Maintain Compliance and Risk registers.
- Participate in local and Group Compliance projects.
Job Requirements:
- 0-5 years of relevant experience in compliance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capability to operate effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and deliver high-quality work.
- Proficiency in multitasking and working to deadlines.
- Flexibility, openness, honesty, and approachability.
- Ability to promptly escalate risks and failures to management.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
- High ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.
