Our client is seeking a Senior Fund Administrator to join their highly regarded Fund Administration team. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently under the supervision of a senior team member, acting as the primary day-to-day contact for delivering a range of fund administration services to a diverse portfolio of clients and related entities. Job Duties:
- Manage the formation and ongoing administration of a complex range of funds, management companies, and associated fund structures
- Liaise with clients and third parties such as lawyers, auditors, bankers, and investment managers as required
- Handle transaction management, including organising and attending client meetings, drafting minutes and resolutions, attending to statutory filings, maintaining statutory records, and coordinating the timely signing of documentation
- Oversee bank payments to settle fund expenses, management and advisory fees, and distribution, including reconciliation of payment logs and approvals
- Produce and circulate invoices, manage fee collection, and chase debtors
- Process and coordinate routine and complex fund operations such as calls, distributions, and equalisation via internal applications
- Ensure accurate maintenance of investor records and manage necessary investor changes or transfers
- Train staff on electronic banking systems and coordinate the opening of new bank account instructions
- Supervise and assist in training Trainee Administrators, providing constructive feedback and identifying additional training needs
- Maintain dedication to data integrity with attention to detail in all activities, utilising systems to drive efficiency and client service
- Contribute to business improvements by identifying process enhancements, policy improvements, and service innovations to improve the client experience
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, including those related to anti-money laundering, terrorist financing, and client due diligence
- Undertake project work and initiatives as designated by your direct Manager
Job Requirements:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in the finance industry with a core focus on fund administration
- Strong academic background, with demonstrable funds experience; working towards or holding a CGI level 4 qualification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of Viewpoint, FIS Capital Suite (Investran), and Board Intelligence is advantageous
- Proficiency in the MS Office package (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Good understanding of applicable statutory laws and related legal and regulatory requirements, including anti-money laundering regulations
- Client-focused with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle tasks independently and use initiative
- Experience in providing training and mentoring to junior team members
- Commitment to achieving excellence for both clients and the business
