Assistant Manager, Compensation Payroll & Benefits

Our client is seeking an Assistant Manager to join their Global HR team, responsible for processing monthly and ad hoc payrolls across multiple jurisdictions. The role supports the Senior Manager – Compensation and Benefits on various ad hoc projects, including acquisitions, global mobility, system implementation, and vendor management. Job Duties:

  • Process monthly and ad hoc payrolls across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accurate and timely payment.
  • Administer payroll in line with company processes, controls, and jurisdictional legislation.
  • Collate system data reports for adjustments prior to payroll processing.
  • Ensure accurate recording and management of new starters, leavers, and changes to standing and variable data.
  • Produce and review payroll reports, ensuring self-review before internal submission.
  • Liaise with third-party payroll providers, ensuring accurate information and escalation of concerns as necessary.
  • Review payroll reports from outsourced providers, ensuring accuracy of data and calculations.
  • Prepare accurate funding reconciliations and instructions for Finance to meet payroll deadlines.
  • Monitor bank accounts to ensure timely payroll funding across jurisdictions.
  • Maintain clear and accurate payroll records.
  • Respond to payroll-related queries from employees, management, and providers.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Clear and concise communication abilities.
  • Experience in multi-jurisdictional payroll processing.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Vendor and SLA risk management experience - beneficial.
