Our client is seeking a Central Authorisations Officer to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role involves evaluating and authorising applications and cessations across all areas of financial services. The successful candidate will ensure that new market entrants and products meet required standards, and manage the orderly exit of entities from the market. Job Duties:
- Evaluate and authorise applications and cessations across financial services, ensuring compliance with required standards
- Process cessations to ensure a safe, timely, and orderly market exit
- Conduct documented risk assessments for decision-making and handovers to supervision
- Maintain high standards of data integrity with individual accountability
- Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to internal practices and procedures
- Manage activities according to processes, service level agreements, and quality measures
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to improve application quality and efficiency
- Actively participate in change initiatives related to areas of expertise
Job Requirements
- Strong judgement and analytical skills
- Knowledge of international regulatory standards and an understanding of Jersey’s regulatory framework, legal structures, and product offerings
- Proficiency in clear and effective oral and written communication
- Excellent workload management skills, with the ability to adapt to competing priorities and work flexibly
- Motivation for professional growth and development within the Central Authorisations team
