Our client is seeking an experienced Mortgage Advisor to join their Wealth and Personal Banking team in Guernsey. This is a fantastic opportunity to establish and grow their mortgage business while delivering professional advice to both new and existing customers. The successful candidate will provide a high-quality, customer-focused service by identifying individual customer needs and delivering tailored mortgage advice in line with Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles. The role is branch-based and requires proactive engagement with customers and stakeholders to achieve strong business performance.
Job Duties:
- Provide an agile and flexible service to customers across their chosen communication channels.
- Identify and understand customers' current and future mortgage and protection needs.
- Deliver tailored mortgage packages that meet individual customer requirements.
- Recognise customers' wider financial planning needs and make referrals to other bank areas where appropriate.
- Proactively develop and strengthen customer relationships to generate new business responsibly.
- Ensure all actions comply with the Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
- Build effective working relationships with stakeholders within and outside the immediate business area.
- Drive mortgage performance by proactively monitoring personal and team sales performance against targets.
Job Requirements:
- CeMAP qualification or equivalent is essential.
- Proven track record in the mortgage and lending environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently and professionally with customers.
- Experience building effective working relationships with stakeholders.
- A history of complying with business processes, rules, and regulations.
- Consistently delivering satisfactory compliance and quality measures.
