Our client is seeking an Investment Officer to join their team and support the Investment Team in reviewing investment portfolios, risk monitoring, and assessing investment managers. This role will involve assisting private client teams with a variety of investment-related queries. The position is full-time and based within their private wealth and corporate services teams across multiple jurisdictions.
Job Duties:
- Assist the team with quarterly investment reviews, including determining results and investigating any performance or portfolio issues.
- Distribute results and ensure they are recorded in the company’s systems.
- Help prepare Annual Investment Reviews, updating investment profiles in collaboration with the Trustees and assessing longer-term investment suitability.
- Manage the process of setting up new portfolios for investment monitoring, including interpreting investment management agreements and liaising with Client Teams, investment managers, and ARC.
- Ensure portfolios are set up correctly in the company systems and diary structure for Annual Reviews.
- Serve as the point of contact with ARC, providing all information and statements required for performance reports.
- Prepare Dealing Forms in line with procedures for execution-only and advisory investments.
- Assist with the preparation and completion of quarterly client reporting, coordinating between Accounts and Client Teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare quarterly billing spreadsheets and assist with collation of data for management reporting.
- Provide support for ad hoc projects as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in fiduciary services.
- Must qualify as a C category person under the JFSC guidelines.
- Strong interpersonal skills for dealing with intermediaries and staff.
- Proficiency in IT, with a solid knowledge of Excel.
- Good understanding of financial markets.
- Knowledge of offshore fiduciary services is preferred.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Sound judgment and the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Knowledge of compliance issues and the regulatory framework within which the company operates.
- Minimum Level 4 investment qualification is preferred, or willingness to undertake.
- Experience in investment management, client relationship management, or private banking is beneficial.
