Our client is seeking a Client Accounts Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of the Client Accounts Team and provide support to the Trust Administration teams. This permanent role offers the opportunity to manage a small portfolio of complex clients while ensuring the team delivers accurate, timely, and high-quality financial services in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Job Duties:
- Manage a small portfolio of complex clients while providing oversight for the team’s broader portfolio.
- Review financial statements prepared by the Client Accounts Team to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Ensure accounts for client entities administered in Guernsey are prepared internally within regulatory timeframes.
- Oversee bookkeeping activities, whether completed in Guernsey or outsourced, ensuring timely completion.
- Collaborate with the Head of CRS/FATCA reporting for accurate and timely submissions.
- Allocate and monitor regular and ad hoc client reporting.
- Liaise with clients and professional representatives on complex accounting matters.
- Conduct quarterly accounts billing for clients.
- Attend client and potential client meetings as requested by the Client Relationship Director.
- Train and supervise junior staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Job Requirements:
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA).
- At least 8 years of relevant experience, with 3 years in a management capacity.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical information concisely.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with strong numeracy and computer skills.
- Proactive in addressing client needs and staying informed on technical developments.
- Proven leadership ability and experience in resolving technical matters using available resources.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK and international accounting standards and filing deadlines.
