Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Support Technician to join their Information Technology department in Guernsey. The role involves providing administrative support for IT operations and projects, managing industry-standard hardware and software, and performing facilities tasks as required. This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment requiring collaboration with in-house teams, business users, and third-party vendors. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, a strong ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Job Duties:
- Provide IT support for industry-standard hardware and software throughout their lifecycle.
- Deliver technical assistance in response to service desk requests.
- Process Identity and Access Management requests.
- Support the delivery of IT projects.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of existing installations.
- Adhere to internal standards, including ITSM, ISO27001, GDPR, and Change Management.
- Maintain IT documentation and administration, such as asset registers and process documentation.
- Participate in the IT Operations on-call rota and occasional weekend work.
- Undertake facilities tasks as required.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience providing technical support for Microsoft operating systems and applications, particularly Windows 10 and SCCM.
- At least 3 years’ experience delivering IT support to business users.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management, prioritisation, and problem-solving skills.
- Exposure to Citrix, O365, Azure, Mitel, Active Directory, and service desk ticketing platforms is desirable.
- Familiarity with IT processes and standards, with ITIL v4 Foundation certification being advantageous.
- GCSE English and Maths, along with relevant IT studies or equivalent experience.
