Our client is seeking a Trainee Internal Auditor to join their Group Internal Audit team in a permanent role. Job Duties:
- Complete audit assignment work in a timely, confidential, independent, and objective manner.
- Conduct thorough research on areas and subjects being audited.
- Maintain clear documentation and draft comprehensive audit reports.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of processes, controls, management, and governance systems in line with departmental standards.
- Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure positive changes are implemented.
- Build positive relationships across the group and promote a strong internal audit culture.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A to C, including Maths and English. A-Levels or equivalent qualifications are desirable but not essential if the candidate has at least 12 months of office experience.
- Willingness to study towards a professional qualification.
- A curious mindset with the ability to approach work with professional scepticism.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Good time management, planning, and organisational abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and the ability to engage effectively with managers and staff at all levels.
