Senior Administrator, New Business

Our client is seeking a Senior Administrator to join their New Business team. This role supports the Manager and Supervisor in ensuring the smooth operation of the Welcome and New Business teams, delivering a high-quality service to both internal and external clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing requests within specified service times while maintaining and improving team service standards. This senior position requires the individual to have recent life Assurance experience, has worked in New Business and has AML / KYC knowledge. Also strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to support junior team members through training and mentorship is also required..

Job Duties:

  • Process all team tasks accurately and efficiently in line with service level agreements.
  • Support the Supervisor in monitoring workloads, allocating daily tasks, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Identify and address problem areas, proposing solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Handle complex work items, providing support to the team where required.
  • Manage workflow and work allocation systems to ensure timely task completion.
  • Provide training and mentoring to junior team members, supporting their development.
  • Assist in performance monitoring by providing feedback on team members' accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
  • Maintain and update departmental procedure notes and team skills matrices.
  • Support cross-training initiatives and assist other teams in Customer Services when needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience in a customer-facing administration role.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of accuracy while meeting service standards.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service with a professional telephone manner.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
