Our client is seeking a Lending Representative to evaluate and prepare loan applications while maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing clients. This sales-focused role involves assessing financial status, advising on repayment methods, and ensuring loan applications comply with internal policies and procedures. The successful candidate will also liaise with counterparts in other jurisdictions to maintain consistency and efficiency across the Group.
Job Duties:
- Work towards sales and corporate governance targets for the Lending Department.
- Evaluate, prepare, and approve loan applications in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
- Engage directly with clients and stakeholders, responding to loan-related queries.
- Meet with applicants to gather and discuss information regarding loan applications.
- Prepare complete loan applications with explanatory notes for underwriter approval.
- Manage general administrative duties and update Group databases.
- Conduct regular client solicitation activities.
- Undertake additional duties as requested by the Board or Directors to support the effective operation of the Group.
- Maintain a proactive and supportive approach within the team, displaying a positive and professional attitude.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in a lending or sales role.
- Experience supporting customers from initial enquiry to loan completion.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.
- Evidence of self-development through training or independent learning.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage enquiries at all levels.
- Self-motivated with strong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise workloads.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and make independent decisions when necessary.
