Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager within their Group Change Department. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for actively managing and driving various projects within the Group change portfolio. These projects are critical in ensuring that the organisation remains competitive and compliant in a rapidly changing environment. The Project Manager will oversee a range of initiatives, from new product launches and market expansion to regulatory projects and technology upgrades. This position demands a proactive approach to project execution, requiring the candidate to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate efforts and foster collaboration, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Duties:
- Ownership and accountability for the delivery of cross-functional projects that enable the organisation to achieve business benefits on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
- This will include (but is not limited to) new products/markets, regulatory and mandatory projects, technology projects, and operational efficiency improvements.
- Project governance including planning, issue and risk management, and project budget oversight.
- Coordinate and/or oversee analysis of requirements ensuring the business receives value for money.
- Implement high-quality solutions through the management of robust testing activity and ensuring delivery against agreed scope.
- Provide accurate and timely communication with stakeholders to keep them informed.
- Ensure business and operational readiness for the delivery of solutions.
Job Requirements:
- Proficient Project Manager with a minimum of 3 years’ experience, ideally within the Financial Services sector.
- Excellent project management skills including planning, issue/risk management, and project budget oversight.
- Experience managing large projects or multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels within the organisation and with third parties, including outsource providers.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and report writing skills.
- Capability to embrace change and support the project team and recipients of the change throughout the process.
- Working knowledge and experience of PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent project management methodologies.
- Willingness to travel where the project requires it, including overseas if necessary.
