Senior Internal Auditor

Our client is seeking to expand their Internal Audit Team with the addition of a suitably qualified and experienced Internal Audit professional. This role can be based in either IOM or London and requires a candidate who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional service. The successful candidate will report directly to the Group Head of Risk, Audit & Compliance and will perform internal audit assignments with a strong focus on AML/CFT compliance in accordance with the Internal Audit Plan.

Job Duties:

• Deliver Internal Audit reviews in line with the approved risk-based plan or as requested by the Group Head of Risk, Audit & Compliance.
• Plan and research key areas of risk impacting auditable areas, including relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct audit walkthroughs to identify and test key controls.
• Deliver factual and relevant audit reports that provide assurance to the recipient, including identification of any potential issues and the mitigating actions to be taken by management.
• Establish and maintain effective business relationships through strong communication and organisational skills.
• Occasionally travel to other locations/offices across the Group as required.

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of 5-10 years’ experience, preferably in the financial services industry, with a background in corporate, trust, or fund-related services.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience within an internal audit environment.
• Exposure to and understanding of AML/CFT related risks and controls is essential.
• Ability to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and a commitment to professionalism.
