Asset Governance Specialist

Our client currently has a permanent position available within the Asset Review Team for an Asset Governance Specialist. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for reviewing new and existing assets across all brands to ensure they meet the required acceptability criteria and comply with regulatory rules in various jurisdictions. This role would suit a high-performing individual with a strong understanding of investments and/or fund administration. Key responsibilities include reviewing new and existing assets, checking and signing off reviews undertaken by team members, and responding to internal and external queries related to assets. The individual will conduct weekly and monthly audits to ensure policies are compliant with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate asset details in the Master Data Warehouse. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the required skills and experience to meet the standards of the role effectively.

Job Duties:

  • Review new and existing assets for all brands
  • Check and sign off on reviews undertaken by other team members
  • Respond to internal and external queries in respect of asset-related matters
  • Conduct weekly and monthly audits to ensure policies are compliant with regulatory requirements
  • Maintain and update accurate asset details in the Master Data Warehouse

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an investment-related role
  • Minimum of two years’ experience working in a Life Assurance environment is desirable
  • Knowledge of investments, pensions, insurance products, and associated legislation, regulation, and guidance would be advantageous
  • CISI Introduction to Securities and Investments Certificate, or similar is desirable
  • Strong research, analytical, and numeracy skills
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and have excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication, planning, and organisational skills, with the ability to effectively balance multiple priorities and manage expectations
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel
