Senior Audit

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join their expanding Financial Services Audit team as a Senior Audit. This role is based on the Isle of Man and involves leading audit assignments for a diverse range of financial services clients, including regulated entities, funds, and other investment structures across various domiciles. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accounts and financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS, designing and implementing effective audit plans, and ensuring that audit engagements are delivered to the highest standards within agreed budgets and timelines. This is a client-facing role that offers significant opportunities for career development within a dynamic and high-performing environment. The successful applicant will also act as a technical resource for financial services accounting and regulatory issues and will have the opportunity to mentor junior team members while contributing to building strong client relationships. A collaborative approach is prized, and candidates should expect to work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless audit process.

Job Duties:

• Lead audit assignments for a range of Financial Services clients
• Prepare accounts and financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP / IFRS
• Design and implement efficient and effective audit plans
• Ensure audit engagements are delivered to the highest standards within budget and timeframe
• Act as a technical resource for FS accounting and regulatory issues, including delivering training and contributing to technical insights
• Manage and mentor junior team members, supporting their development and performance
• Contribute to building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth audit process
• Support the development of the FS audit practice and contribute to business development as needed

Job Requirements:

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
• Solid experience leading audit engagements, preferably within Financial Services
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, ambitious mindset with a commitment to high-quality work and continuous improvement
