Junior Marketing assistant

The role involves the day-to-day delivery of marketing activities, particularly in social media management, event coordination, and industry engagement. The successful candidate will actively strengthen relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders while continuing to build brand awareness. This position requires managing and maintaining the organisation’s social media channels, ensuring content is engaging and aligned with business objectives. Responsibilities also include acting as a brand guardian to maintain consistency in communications and messaging, creating and coordinating marketing materials, and supporting the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns. The Junior Marketing Assistant will assist with website updates and digital marketing activities as necessary. Additionally, the role includes planning, coordinating, and delivering various industry events and client functions.

Job Duties:

  • Manage and maintain the organisation’s social media channels.
  • Act as a brand guardian, ensuring consistency of communications, messaging, and visual identity.
  • Create and coordinate marketing materials for both internal and external use.
  • Support the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns across different business sectors.
  • Assist with website updates and digital marketing activities as required.
  • Plan and coordinate industry events, exhibitions, yacht shows, networking events, and client functions.
  • Identify opportunities to maximise networking and business development through events.
  • Maintain accurate records of marketing activities, client engagement initiatives, and event outcomes.
  • Produce reports on marketing activity and event performance as required.
  • Complete monthly time reporting and administrative duties in accordance with organisational procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Highly motivated with a strong ability to adapt to varying tasks and scenarios.
  • Previous experience in marketing, events, hospitality, or a similar role; knowledge of the maritime industry is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational, project management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in programmes such as Microsoft Office, Canva, WordPress, etc., with strong written and spoken English.
  • Experience in graphic design, social media management, website administration, or CRM systems would be advantageous.
