Senior Conveyancing Administrator

An experienced Senior Conveyancing Administrator is sought to join a newly established conveyancing practice in the Isle of Man. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a senior residential conveyancing professional to play an influential role in building a new practice from the ground up. The successful candidate will manage conveyancing matters while shaping the processes, workflows, systems, and standards that will underpin the future growth of the business. This position is ideal for someone with strong hands-on experience in Isle of Man residential conveyancing, capable of confidently managing sales and purchases from instruction through to completion. The organisation seeks an individual who can work independently, take ownership of tasks, and employ their knowledge to create efficient, client-focused workflows. This role extends beyond traditional administrative duties; the successful candidate will act as a key operational point of knowledge within the business, contributing ideas, improving procedures, and establishing a modern and effective conveyancing service.

Job Duties:

  • Manage residential conveyancing files from start to finish, including both sales and purchases.
  • Progress transactions from instruction through to completion and post-completion, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of matters.
  • Apply practical knowledge of Isle of Man conveyancing procedures, Registry requirements, and local residential property practices.
  • Help design, implement, and improve workflows, administrative processes, and case management procedures.
  • Support the setup of document templates, client procedures, systems, and standards for the new practice.
  • Act as a key operational point of knowledge within the business, providing practical input on managing conveyancing matters.
  • Work closely with the founders to establish efficient, consistent, and client-focused ways of working.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support the development of a modern conveyancing service.
  • Take ownership of matters and make confident decisions in a start-up environment where procedures may be evolving.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Isle of Man residential conveyancing is essential.
  • Strong practical knowledge of the full conveyancing lifecycle, including pre-contract, completion, and post-completion work.
  • Experience managing both residential sales and purchases independently.
  • Excellent administrative, organisational, and case management skills at a senior level.
  • Good working knowledge of conveyancing systems, templates, and document management processes.
  • Ability to write procedures, improve workflows, and support the creation of new operational standards.
  • Confidence in working independently, using initiative, and operating with limited supervision.
  • A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
  • A self-starting attitude with the confidence to contribute ideas in a growing business.
  • A desire to take ownership, influence operational practices, and help build something from the early stages.
