Associate, Dispute Resolution

This role involves joining a market-leading Dispute Resolution team to work alongside experienced and well-respected lawyers within the jurisdiction. The position offers unique opportunities to engage with some of the largest and most exciting cases in the Isle of Man. The Dispute Resolution team manages a broad range of practice areas, including personal injury, employment, regulatory, private client, insolvency, fraud, and general commercial disputes. Team members are encouraged to develop their expertise across several of these areas, fostering a culture that values collaboration and personal growth. Junior associates will have the opportunity to focus on early development of advocacy skills in a supportive environment, particularly in personal injury, employment, and debt recovery/repossession cases. Prior experience advising on personal injury or employment law is preferred. Exceptional candidates who have not yet been admitted as advocates in the Isle of Man but possess demonstrable expertise in personal injury or employment law will also be considered.

Job Duties:

  • Work closely with senior lawyers on diverse dispute resolution cases
  • Handle matters related to personal injury, employment, regulatory, private client, insolvency, fraud, and commercial disputes
  • Support team members in developing expertise in various practice areas
  • Focus on building advocacy skills, especially in personal injury and employment
  • Participate in lower pressure environments to enhance skills before progressing to larger commercial matters
  • Provide advice and guidance on relevant legal issues

Job Requirements:

  • Law degree or equivalent qualification
  • Preferably prior experience in personal injury or employment law
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting
  • Demonstrable interest in dispute resolution
