Our client is seeking an Assistant Audit Manager to assist the Audit Manager in planning and executing audit processes. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting audit operations, and contributing to the development of audit strategies. Job Duties:
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing internal and external audits.
- Support daily audit operations, ensuring compliance with auditing standards.
- Review and analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Ensure adherence to accounting principles, financial regulations, and company policies.
- Assist in managing and mentoring the audit team.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of audit strategies and procedures.
- Identify and assess areas of financial risk and assist in implementing mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor audit findings and follow up on corrective actions.
- Participate in the preparation of financial statements and tax compliance activities, including drafting tax and VAT returns.
Job Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, and financial reporting regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- ACCA or ACA qualified or equivalent professional certification.
- Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
