Our client is seeking an experienced Application Management Analyst to join their wider technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting key applications and services, ensuring they are stable, functional, and fit-for-purpose. Working as part of the IT Service team, you will collaborate with stakeholders across Technology to resolve incidents, manage requests, and deploy changes. You will also provide out-of-hours support as part of a rota. Job Duties:
- Perform administrative tasks and management activities to ensure the stability, functionality, and security of systems.
- Manage end-of-month and exceptional batch activities as required.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve faults across the application landscape in line with service level targets.
- Deploy operational changes and upgrades, adhering to Change Management policies.
- Collaborate with Release Management teams to support defect resolution and releases.
- Participate in duty rotas for out-of-hours support and overnight batch activities.
- Facilitate small-scale development for feature updates, functionality changes, and stability improvements.
- Support Incident, Problem, and Change Managers in managing major incidents and escalations.
- Assist with Service Improvement Plans to address performance issues and maintain stability.
- Collaborate on cross-functional processes, including Incident, Problem, Change Management, IT Security, and Risk Management.
- Maintain situational awareness of the company’s technology landscape, products, and services.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding system performance, issues, and improvements.
Job Requirements:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, T-SQL, and SSRS.
- Experience with Java, PowerBI, Microsoft Azure, and API Management is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Elastic, Grafana, Microsoft Access, and IIS is highly desirable.
- Experience in supporting Microsoft Office/Office 365 in an enterprise setting.
- Proven ability to work under pressure while maintaining focus and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with outsourced technical services and in financial services environments is desirable.
