This is a new and exciting fixed term contract until December 2026, to carry out construction/installation/maintenance of underground duct and fibre cables in the Access Network of the Bailiwick of Guernsey, Jersey and IOM, to include the termination and installation of cables at distribution points, fibre nodes, CBT’s and optical mainframes. This role does involve working at heights and underground for installation and repairs and the main duties will include, but are not restricted to, interception and splicing of fibre optic cables, end to end testing, fault tracing and the interpretation of schematics. You will need basic knowledge of cabling systems and techniques, good vision, digital skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills and good interpersonal skills with both internal and external customers. A qualification in computer science or a related field is desirable as is experience or a qualification in electrical/electronic engineering.
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Network & Telecoms Manager to join a leading Bank, on a temporary basis, for a period of 3-6 months, to oversee the Bank’s network and telecoms infrastructure in Jersey, the Isle of Man and Mauritius. Hands-on support for all networks and telecoms equipment is provided as part of a managed service from a Jersey provider, so this role focuses on managing that service and other relevant aspects of the infrastructure. The successful candidate will have experience of managing relationships with managed service providers and telcos, an intermediate-level understanding of LAN switching, network routing, the Internet protocol, Virtual Private Networks and associated technologies. Knowledge of telecoms principles with knowledge of Cisco Unified Call Manager and Cisco Unified Contact Center Express would be a bonus but not essential.
Based within the Fibre project team, this brilliant new position as a temporary Installations Scheduler, will be running until December 2026. You will be required to support the optimised delivery of fibre installations ensuring that resources meet demand and appointment scheduling is optimised to maintain short-lead times for customers. You will work across teams to support the efficient delivery of fibre services and liaise with internal colleagues and customers to meet those aims. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisation skills, a strong understanding of Microsoft Office suite of products, and be goal focused with the ability to produce accurate and good quality work. Strong customer service skills gained from a previous customer facing role are highly desirable.
Our client is seeking a pro-active and energetic individual with a driving licence to work as a FTTP Installation Technician on a temporary, full time basis. You will be required to install, test, and commission residential and business fibre broadband services together with associated wiring systems, WiFi routers and terminals. This includes working at heights to install and repair services in adverse weather conditions. The successful candidate will be technically skilled or willing to obtain this level, have strong problem solving and customer service skills, be self-motivated and have a basic knowledge of cabling systems and techniques. Experience in fibre-optic cable handling, fusion splicing and in a customer service or operational environment would be advantageous.
Our client is seeking a Service Desk Analyst to join their busy team, on a temporary basis, for a period of 6 months, to service the IT support needs of all end-users and clients in a demanding and result-oriented environment. You will also be responsible for providing both onsite and remote support. This challenging role requires excellent client-oriented communication skills and a thorough, logical approach to problem solving. You will be expected to deal with a high volume of tickets to the Service Desk using a variety of problem-solving techniques, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Proven knowledge and understanding of PC Networking, Microsoft 2010 based applications and operating systems and thin client technology is essential for this role.
