Network & Infrastructure Engineer

Our client seeks a Network and Infrastructure Engineer to support clients across the Channel Islands and the UK. This full-time role involves resolving IT issues, managing Windows environments, virtualisation technologies, and network infrastructure while collaborating with senior consultants to develop technical skills.

Job Duties:

• Resolve calls and faults related to IT infrastructure.
• Manage Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and virtualisation technologies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot network and firewall infrastructures.
• Assist with purchasing and supplier management.
• Support the Guernsey Network Operations Centre.
• Visit client sites to resolve incidents, carry out installations, or assist with IT projects.
• Collaborate with consultants on technical builds and infrastructure designs.
• Provide on-call support on a rota basis.
• Travel to the UK and Channel Islands as needed.

Job Requirements:

• 2–4 years' experience in a system or network/infrastructure role.
• Strong knowledge of desktop environments, Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking technologies.
• Methodical approach with logical troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service focus and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Relevant IT certifications (Cisco, Checkpoint, Ubiquiti, Microsoft, CompTIA) are desirable.
