Our client is seeking a dedicated and motivated Professional Services Engineer to join their Jersey office. This team-based role will involve providing IT support services to existing clients, both remotely and on-site. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to hardware, software, and networks, ensuring seamless system operations. A valid and clean driving licence is required for client site visits, with some regular weekly visits potentially necessary.
Job Duties:
- Diagnose and resolve desktop, network, and server issues for end users
- Install and configure hardware, software, network devices, printers, and scanners
- Travel to client locations to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
- Respond to incoming support enquiries, logging and managing tickets according to internal support procedures
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding progress on outstanding support tickets
- Work with clients to ensure that product configurations meet their business needs
- Perform daily health checks and preventative maintenance as required
- Support colleagues with escalated tickets and assist in engineering tasks
- Document all issues, resolutions, and time spent accurately in the ticketing system
- Provide a high standard of oral and written communication when interacting with clients
- Assist in the creation of detailed technical documentation
- Follow best practices for the configuration and deployment of software and hardware
Job Requirements:
- Experience in providing technical support, including diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 and Azure, with relevant certifications encouraged
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently
- Ability to build strong working relationships with both clients and colleagues
- Effective communication skills across multiple channels (email, chat, phone)
- Willingness to support and collaborate with team members
- Proactive attitude with a focus on delivering excellent customer service
- Reliable, professional, and presentable in all client interactions
