Our client is seeking a skilled Human Resources Manager to join their HR Business Partnering service, providing expert HR support to designated operational areas. This full-time role requires an in-depth understanding of HR practices and workforce management, supporting HR Advisors, managers, and employees throughout the employee lifecycle. Job Duties:
- Provide technical HR advice across the employee lifecycle to operational areas as part of the HR Business Partnering service.
- Regularly brief the HR Business Partner and HR Director on key risks or developments in operational areas.
- Provide HR resources to resolve emerging risks within HR Operations, including Employee Services and Support Services.
- Manage and support HR Advisors, including oversight of day-to-day HR matters and casework, and ensuring issues are logged and tracked.
- Role model professional HR values to ensure stakeholders understand the purpose and value of HR, aligned with the People Strategy.
- Advise on compliance with HR policies, employment contract terms, and legislation.
- Offer guidance on managing disciplinary, sickness, and capability matters for operational managers and HR Advisors.
- Identify training needs for managers and support their development in employee management practices.
- Use workforce data to support operational managers with monitoring and reporting on metrics, particularly sickness absence.
- Contribute to strategic workforce planning and support associated products like recruitment planning, job evaluation, and development pathways.
- Provide insights from business-specific Strategic Workforce Plans and ensure alignment with overarching requirements.
- Lead HR project work and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives as directed.
- Deliver training for HR team members and operational managers as required.
- Contribute to the development and activation of HR transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements:
- CIPD Associate Diploma in People Management Level 5, or willingness to undertake this qualification to progress.
- Significant HR experience with knowledge of HR best practices and Guernsey employment legislation.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to build and sustain relationships.
- Ability to effectively challenge and influence behaviours to achieve solutions.
- Proven decision-making skills and sound judgement in representing HR values.
- Experience managing a diverse workload and escalating risks as necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn bespoke employee systems.
- High quality written communication skills for creating emails, reports, and other formal documents.
