Our client is seeking a proactive Senior Compliance Officer to act as the Policy Gatekeeper for its regulated Trust and Corporate Service Provider and funds business. This full-time role involves overseeing compliance across categories 3, 4, and 5 regulatory requirements, ensuring policies, processes, and procedures align with the Isle of Man’s regulatory environment. Job Duties:
- Acting as the main point of contact for AML/CFT guidelines, regulatory standards, and compliance obligations.
- Conducting regulatory horizon scanning to identify and address changes in Isle of Man compliance requirements.
- Ensuring regulatory requirements are fully integrated into the compliance framework.
- Maintaining and updating a central log of compliance policies, managing version control and annual reviews.
- Leading annual policy reviews with the Board to meet regulatory and operational standards.
- Defining RACI roles for stakeholders involved in compliance updates.
- Overseeing compliance forms, guides, and templates to ensure alignment with regulatory standards.
- Providing expert input to the Risk Committee, including reports on regulatory changes and risk assessments.
- Assisting with committee report preparation, attendance, and potentially serving as committee secretary.
- Identifying and supporting delivery of regulatory training across the organisation.
- Conducting regular reviews of compliance documentation and refining processes.
- Monitoring the effectiveness of implemented compliance changes.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Professional compliance certification (e.g., ICA, ACAMS, CISI) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in a compliance role within a TCSP, funds, or regulated financial services environment.
- Strong understanding of Isle of Man AML/CFT regulations and the broader regulatory environment.
- Proficiency in compliance software and document management systems.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and reporting skills.
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach with the ability to deputise for senior roles.
