Job Duties:
- Contribute to the Group’s monthly accounting processes, preparing management accounts and reports, and performing reconciliations and reviews.
- Support statutory audits, manage audit queries, and assist with the timely completion of financial statements and regulatory returns.
- Assist in statutory, regulatory, and tax reporting processes, taking the lead on specific projects as required.
- Enhance financial control processes by incorporating changes in legal and regulatory requirements.
- Develop innovative ways to analyse and present data.
- Provide support and assistance to the broader finance team.
Job Requirements:
- Trainee or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) with relevant industry experience.
- 2–3 years of accounting experience within a finance function or audit, particularly in financial services.
- Knowledge of financial reporting and experience working to deadlines for internal and external reporting.
- Experience with statutory audits.
- Ability to manage and prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and effective at communicating across all levels.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with SUN accounts or similar accounting packages.
- Knowledge of life assurance administration systems and SharePoint.
