Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Compliance Officer to join their Compliance team in the Isle of Man. This role involves supporting the MLRO/Head of Compliance in ensuring the firm complies with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. Job Duties:
- Ensure adherence to all relevant internal policies and procedures.
- Assist with Customer Due Diligence (CDD) reviews, including trigger events and monitoring Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and sanctions.
- Conduct client screening and ongoing monitoring, including conflict checks and background searches.
- Analyse screening and monitoring outputs to identify relevant information for communication to fee earners.
- Engage with stakeholders across offices to build relationships, improve processes, and promote compliance awareness.
- Support internal monitoring programmes to ensure adherence to internal policies.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement and the sharing of best practices.
- Assist with regulatory, audit, and other inspections.
- Maintain compliance registers and undertake ad hoc tasks as required.
- Participate in Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge and understanding of the Isle of Man Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism Handbook.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Effective communication, planning, and organisational skills.
- Flexible, reliable, and committed team player with a customer-focused approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
- Experience processing client due diligence in a regulated or supervised environment.
- Familiarity with client screening and monitoring activities.
- Interest in the regulatory environment and current affairs.
- Experience with background searching software.
