Talent Assistant Manager

This role supports recruitment and talent operations across the Channel Islands, providing hands-on assistance with a broad range of HR responsibilities. The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for employees and managers, ensuring the smooth implementation of talent initiatives and projects. Job Duties:

  • Serve as the main Talent contact in Jersey.
  • Manage experienced hire recruitment, including mobility and immigration requirements.
  • Coordinate careers fairs, talent sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding processes.
  • Facilitate new starter inductions and advise the business on leavers.
  • Oversee student professional qualification pathways, liaising with centralised teams.
  • Direct HR-related queries to centralised teams as required.
  • Maintain and enhance the client’s local employer brand through strong relationship management.
  • Provide HR coordination for key annual processes such as performance management, pay reviews, and professional qualification promotions.
  • Align Talent processes with the wider team to ensure consistency and efficiency.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Strong relationship-building skills with a proactive, people-focused approach.
  • Broad understanding of HR practices and contemporary methods.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment where high-quality delivery is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
  • Resilient, practical, and self-starting attitude.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with performance management and HR systems.
