Our client is a leading international law and professional services firm providing legal, corporate, and fiduciary services to a global clientele. This role as a Senior Counsel offers an ambitious and technically proficient lawyer the opportunity to join the firm's market-leading Private Capital and Trusts team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding the firm's practice in the Channel Islands, working alongside accomplished practitioners and contributing to the firm's reputation for excellence.
Job Duties:
- Work collaboratively with senior team members and provide supervision to junior colleagues.
- Develop and expand relationships with core clients, actively participating in business development initiatives.
- Participate in the development of the practice’s know-how and share expertise through conferences, seminars, and internal training.
- Provide technically sound legal advice and responsive service to clients on all matters.
- Maintain strong revenue generation and profitability while adhering to recommended billing rates.
- Uphold the firm’s professional ethics and proactively seek resolution of conflicts.
Job Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer with over 8 years of private wealth post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Strong academic background.
- Ambitious, commercially driven, and self-motivated.
- Experience in private client practice or family office work preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with the Guernsey private client sector or offshore financial services preferred but not essential.
- Competence in corporate or finance aspects of private client work advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and legal timekeeping systems.
- Team-oriented approach, with a willingness to support others and engage in collaborative initiatives.
