Our client is a leading international law and professional services firm providing legal, corporate, and fiduciary services to a global clientele. This role offers an ambitious and technically proficient lawyer the opportunity to join the firm's dynamic Banking and Finance team in Jersey. The successful candidate will work on behalf of prestigious global clients and intermediaries, contributing to the expansion of the Jersey practice and the broader growth of the firm's presence in the Channel Islands.
Job Duties:
- Provide technically sound advice and highly responsive service to clients and colleagues.
- Manage files in line with the firm's requirements and practices.
- Develop and expand client relationships, becoming a valued resource to clients and contributing to associate-led business development initiatives.
- Participate in developing the practice's know-how, sharing expertise through conferences, seminars, and internal training.
- Maintain a strong record of revenue generation and profitability, adhering to billing rates and managing costs effectively.
- Uphold the firm's values and professional ethics.
Job Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 8 years of finance post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Strong academic background.
- Ambitious, commercially driven, and self-motivated.
- Solid legal skills with a good understanding of relevant markets and client industries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Jersey jurisdiction and/or offshore financial services providers preferred but not essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and legal billing systems.
- Team-oriented approach, with a willingness to support colleagues and contribute to collaborative efforts.
